GUWAHATI: The Assam-Mizoram border tension took a new turn as miscreants from the Mizoram side attacked the vehicle of Cachar deputy commissioner Keerthi Jalli. A number of Assam Police Jawans have been reportedly injured in the incident.
The miscreants open fired at the convoy of the deputy commissioner who had gone there to review the situation.
The incident took place at the Assam-Mizoram border at the Lailapur area.
Notably, The miscreants also damaged the DC’s vehicle. Top administration officials from Cachar district are in the area trying to sort out the differences.
