Shivaji Satam populary knowns as ACP Pradyuman celebrates his 71st birthday

Guwahati: Shivaji Satam is one of the most critically acclaimed actors in India and has starred in several movies and television series. He is celebrating his 71st birthday today.

He is known for working as ACP Pradyuman in the Indian police TV show titled CID. It is one of the longest-running shows on Indian television.

Shivaji Satam was born on 21 April 1950 in Mahim, Maharashtra. He  did his studies from Maharashtra. Shivaji Satam graduated with Physics. He then pursued a diploma  in Business Administration. Before entering the acting world, Shivaji Satam used to work as a cashier in the Central Bank of India.

While working in the bank Shivaji pursued his love for acting by joining  theatres.

After this Shivaji Satam acted in theater for a long time. He made his acting debut in 1980 with the TV show ‘Rishtey-Nate’. After this he was seen in ‘Famous Trials of India’ and Marathi serial ‘Ek Shubya Shunya’. The performance of Shivaji Satam in these serials was liked by the audience. But he rose to fame after he was casted as ACP Pradyuman  in the TV show ‘CID’.

CID is one of the long-lived serials on TV. In this serial, Shivaji Satam played the role of ACP Pradyuman, who is still very famous among the audience. Every artist associated with ‘CID’ serials is also very famous. Apart from TV serials, Shivaji Satam has won the hearts of viewers with his performances in films. He made his Bollywood debut in 1988 with the film ‘Pestonji’.

It also features Aditya Srivastava as Abhijeet and Dayanand Shetty as Daya. The show has given rise to several memes which are created by the fans of the show. 

After this, Shivaji Satam acted in many films including ‘Ghulam-e-Mustafa’, ‘Suryavansham’, ‘Vaastav’, ‘Pukar’, ‘Nayak’, ‘Gaurav’ and ‘Taxi Number 9211’ and made his special place in Bollywood.  Apart from Hindi, Shivaji Satam has also worked in Marathi and English films. He has also won several awards for his brilliant performances.
