GUWAHATI, Jan 3: Veteran Bollywood star Hema Malini showered tributes on her mother Jaya Chakravarthi on the occasion of the latter’s birth anniversary and shared two pictures on Instagram along with a moving post.
In the first image, Hema Malini was seen in a dancing costume and hugging her mother while the second image showed a black-and-white photograph of her mother Jaya.
“It is that day of the year closest to my heart! My darling mother’s birthday which I never fail to celebrate, thanking her for all that she’s done for me. Her amazing personality and the rapport she was able to create with all she met, both in the industry and beyond, is what shaped my career and made me what I am. Thank you Amma. I love you,” Hema Malini, now a BJP Lok Sabha MP, wrote.
Hema Malini’s mother Jaya was a producer and costume designer by profession. She died in 2004.
