Guwahati: When two stars get together for a movie, magic is to happen. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham has been roped for a movie titled Pathan. The movie will be produced under the banner of Yash Raj Film’s production.
After a hiatus of nearly three years Shah Rukh Khan will soon be seen in the edgy action movie Pathan alongside John Abraham. The film also stars Deepika Padukone.
The film will mark John’s return to the YRF camp after Dhoom, Kabul Express and New York.
King Khan who recently turned 55 is now gearing up to resume shooting for his the movie. The film directed by Siddharth Anand who’s known for his movie War.
According to a Filmfare report, the actor will resume shooting for this film by the end of November (post his return from Dubai). The report quoted a source saying, “It is a battle royale between SRK and John, with Deepika playing an important thread, taking the narrative forward.”
In fact, according to an exclusive report in the entertainment news portal, Bollywood Hungama, John Abraham is charging nearly 20 crores for his role. The film is expected for a Diwali 2021 release.
A source said, “John is presently in the best phase of his career with his solo films emerging box-office hits. He has proved his worth of carrying films on his shoulders and hence, he hiked his fees for the much awaited YRF film. John will be paid an upfront fees of Rs. 20 crores for this action packed entertainer and will be shooting for over 60 days for his track of negative lead in Pathan.”
John will be shooting for some high octane action scenes and dramatic scenes with Shah Rukh.
It will be interesting to see if both the stars can create magic on the silver screen.
