GUWAHATI: The Assam government is going to provincialise several schools, colleges and posts of teachers soon, announced education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma at a press meet in Guwahati on Saturday.
“The first list of provincialised colleges and schools will be published on August 15. The second list will be published in October. But it will be effective from next January 1,” Dr. Sarma said.
The first list includes 355 high schools, junior colleges, 3359 teachers under directorate of senior secondary, 30 colleges, 931 college teachers including left over teachers.
