SEBA instructs schools to conduct special half yearly exam for class 9-10

Guwahati: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has asked the schools to conduct special half-yearly examinations for students of classes IX and X who couldnt appear for the same in the month of October.

Issuing a notification in this regard, SEBA Secretary Suranjana Senapati on November 25 said, “It has come to our notice that some students could not appear for the Half Yearly Examination of Classes IX and X, held in October, 2021. So, it is notified to all concerned that a Special Half Yearly Examination has to be conducted by the schools concerned for those students who could not appear in the aforementioned Half Yearly Examination and also for those students who failed in the High School Leaving Certificate/ Assam High Madrassa – HSLC/AHM (Special) Examination, 2021.”

“The process of the Special Half Yearly Examination has to be completed within 15th of December, 2021. The records of the performance of the students (class wise) of the Special Half Yearly Examination will have to be entered in the Online Portal of marks entry and have to be kept along with the records of the Half Yearly Examination,” it added.

The notification further stated that if any student of Class 10 failed to appear for the Special Half Yearly examination in December, those students will not be allowed to fill up the online form for the ensuing HSLC/AHM examination, 2022.
