Riyan Parag leads Assam to victory against Bihar in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

Guwahati: Assam beat Bihar by three wickets on Saturday in the thirteen edition of the Syed Mustaq Ali T20 Cricket tournament in Delhi today. 

After the disappointing performance in the IPL’s Riyan Parag did make a come back by hitting four sixes and several fours during his knock of 33-ball 58 in yesterday’s match against Bihar.

Assam cricket Team captain Riyan Parag played a fabulous innings which helped the team in winning the match. 

Assam defeated the target of 136 with 7 balls remaining.

Elected to bat first, Bihar scored 135-8 in their 20 overs. Babul Kumar played a terrific knock of 82 runs and it was because of him Bihar managed to put fighting totals on the board. Opener Bipin Saurabh (22) was the other batsman who managed to score double-digit runs.

Assam has already played two matches against Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat and is scheduled to play the next match with Kerala on November 8. The state team won its first match against Gujarat.

The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy kickstarted on November 4 and is underway across Lucknow, Guwahati, Baroda, Delhi, Haryana, and Vijayawada, with the knockouts starting in Delhi from November 16 and the final set to take place in the national capital on November 22.
