GUWAHATI: The Assam government has increased ration allowance for Assam Police constables from Rs. 1200 to 2,000, announced finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma at a press conference in Guwahati on Friday.
“At present the police constables get Rs. 1200 as a monthly ration allowance. Now they will get Rs. 2000. This will be applicable from October 1,” said minister Sarma.
The minister informed that the Assam government has been looking forward to expand the same benefits to the forest battalion.
