Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday led the historic ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The ‘mool muhurt’ in which the consecration took place, lasted just 84 seconds. Performing the rituals, PM Modi removed the 51-inch idol’s blindfold from behind and applied ‘kajal’ with a gold stick.

After the ‘pran pratishtha’, the temple will open its doors for devotees. PM Modi reached the temple shortly after 12 noon and is set to remain inside the complex for about three-and-a-half hours for the ceremony.
