Ram Mandir inauguration: NE CMs take part in Pran Pratistha ceremony

It was a historic moment for billions of Indians as the idol of Ram Lalla (Lord Ram) at the Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple in Ayodhya was unveiled in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Northeast too joined the rest of the nation, as Chief Ministers of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Tripura led their respective states in celebrating the occasion.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took part in the Pran Pratistha Ceremony held at the Harijan Colony in Guwahati.

After watching the grand consecration ceremony live from Ayodhya, Chief Minister Sarma said, “The slavery that prevailed for over 500 years has ended. Bharat has shown that everything is possible in this Bharat. The nation has witnessed a new dawn under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi after 500 years. I believe that Ram Rajya will be established in India from this day, along with that India will also become Vishwa Guru.”

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang also took part in a event to mark the occasion at MG Marg in Gangtok. Briefing the media he said, “On this occasion I extend my greetings to the entire nation. I want to congratulate PM Narendra Modi also. It is historic and a moment of pride for us. Everyone in the state was enthusiastic about today (consecration ceremony).”

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha was also seen performing rituals at the to mark the Pran Pratistha ceremony at Durga Bari temple in Agartala.

Sharing his thoughts, the Tripura CM said, “It is often said that one can find God within an individual, the essence of Ram Rajya is to alleviate the pains and sufferings of every individual in the society. Only then people repose faith on their ruler. The nation is now experiencing the true feeling of wellbeing since this (consecration) has taken place after 500 years, which witnessed numerous protests as well as loss of human lives. Me and my whole cabinet is going to Ayodhya on February 5th.”

Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu also took part in the Pran Pratistha ceremony by offering his prayers at a temple in Tuting.

Taking to X, CM Khandu said, “आज का दिन इतिहास में स्वर्णाक्षरों में लिखा जाएगा।
