Rajnath Singh visits Kamakhya Devalaya


Guwahati: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday morning visited Kamakya Devalaya, Guwahati to offer prayers.

Singh was accompanied by Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma who also offered his obeisance to the Goddess. 

Kamakhya Devalaya is currently closed due to the COVID-19 restriction and the Defence minister offered his prayers from outside the main door that leads to the sanctum sanctorum. 

Singh arrived in the Northeast on Thursday evening after dedicating 12 strategic roads, constructed by the border road organisations at Kimin in Arunachal Pradesh.

Last night he attended a dinner at Raj Bhawan hosted by Governor Jagadish Mukhi. The dinner was also attended by CM Sarma, Former Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal and Assembly speaker Biswajit Daimary.
