Pramod Boro-led BTC provides relief materials to Bengal violence victims

GUWAHATI: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) led by Pramod Boro provided relief materials to the people who fled West Bengal and took shelter in relief camps in Assam amid widespread political violence.

A larger number of people took shelter in the relief camps along Assam-Bengal border following the declaration of results of West Bengal assembly elections.

On behalf of the BTC, executive member Ranjit Basumatary on Friday visited a relief camp at Srirampur in Kokrajhar district and provided provided food and various relief materials to the distressed people.

“We strongly condemn Mamata Banerjee and her party for indulging in these kinds of political violence and genocide. In a democratic country like India such violence are very unfortunate and must stop.,” Pramod Boro said on his official Facebook page.
