GUWAHATI: The Assam government on Saturday evening affected a round of ministers’ reshuffle and inclusion in the Assam cabinet bringing in new faces to head the Labour and Tea Tribes Welfare and PWD.
Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma was re-allocated the Education portfolio handled by Siddhartha Bhattacharya.
Mahmora MLA Jogen Mohan got charge of Power and PWD (State) whereas Tinsukia MLA Sanjoy Kishen got the Labour & Employment and Tea Tribes Welfare portfolio.
On the other hand Pijush Hazarika, Minister of State (Independent) Urban Development, Health & Family Welfare (State), got additional charge of Town and Country Planning while Bhabesh Kalita got charge of Education (Assisting Cabinet Minister MoS).
