GUWAHATI: Chandmari Police arrested a woman drug peddler from the Bamunimaidam area in Guwahati on Tuesday. The 34-year-old woman, Eliza Begum was caught red-handed while selling drugs near the Bamunimaidam railway gate area.
A total of 7.88 grams of brown sugar was recovered from her possession. Also, a case was registered under NDPS Act in response to the incident in Chandmari Police Station.
It is to be noted that Assam Police is continuing their operations against the drug dealers and in last four days, police have arrested 15 drug peddlers in a series of raids conducted at various places of Guwahati.
