PM MODI CABINET RESHUFFLE: 12 ministers quit so far

GUWAHATI: In what is the biggest revamp in Modi govt 2.0’s Cabinet, as many as 43 members, including old and new ministers, are set to be sworn in on Wednesday(July 7) evening. According to reports, the new cabinet will be one of the most inclusive with record representation of SC, ST members.

Meanwhile, Union ministers have started submitting their resignations, with the Cabinet reshuffle and oath-taking ceremony scheduled to be held at 6 pm.
Following are the ministers who have resigned from their positions so far:

  1. Harsh Vardhan, Union health minister
  2. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union education minister
  3. DV Sadananda Gowda, Union Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister
  4. Santosh Gangwar, Labour minister
  5. Raosaheb Danve, Minister of State Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution
  6. Ratan Lal Kataria, Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Social Justice & Empowerment 
  7. Debashree Chaudhari, Minister of State for Woman and Child Development 
  8. Sanjay Dhotre, Minister of State for Education, Communications, Electronics & IT
  9. Ashwini Chaube, MoS Health
  10. Pratap Chandra Sarangi, MoS Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries and MSME
  11. Babul Supriyo, Mos Environment
  12. Thawar Chand Gehlot, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment
