GUWAHATI: Former deputy inspector general (DIG) of police Prasanta Kumar Dutta and BJP leader Diban Deka, two prime accused in Assam Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment scam are absconding in Nepal. According to reports, daughter of PK Dutta lives in Nepal.
Assam Police has already contacted ministry of external affairs (MEA) to take legal action against duo.
Earlier on a Facebook post, Diban Deka stated that he was taking shelter in another state to save his life.
Meanwhile, Crime Branch and CID sleuths have been conducting search operations at various properties of Dutta and Deka.
