GUWAHATI: Saraswati Puja is being celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout the State on Tuesday. Devotees thronged pandals seeking the blessing of the Goddess of Learning.
Schools, colleges and other educational institutions wore a festive and colorful look on the occasion as Saraswati Puja is mainly celebrated by students and teachers.
Saraswati idols in the school and college campuses are being worshipped from the morning hours followed by the distribution of Prasad and Khichdi.
Small pandals were also put up across the state where the people of the locality paid obeisance to the Goddess of Learning.
All the schools, colleges and education institutions in Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Udalguri, Tangla, Silchar, Karimganj, Hojai, Tezpur, Jorhat, Sivasagar are celebrating the Saraswati puja with great pomp and gaiety.
