GUWAHATI: Hitting out at Congress and All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF), Assam industry and commerce minister Chandra Mohan Patowary claimed that people of the state will never support the alliance between the two parties.
Patowary alleged that Congress has exposed its own hypocrisy through the alliance with Badruddin Ajmal-led AIUDF.
“We are not worried about the friendship between Congress and AIUDF. People of Assam will never accept the alliance,” the minister said.
Patowary also lambasted former chief minister Tarun Gogoi referring Gogoi’s infamous remark—Who is Badruddin?
“Tarun Gogoi came to power three times asking—Who is Badruddin? Now Badruddin Ajmal has become his friend,” Chandra Mohan Patoway said.
