GUWAHATI: Addressing a public rally at Batadrava in the presence of union home minister Amit Shah, Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the BJP-led state government is committed to make the Batadrava Thaan, the birthplace of Srimanta Sankardeva world-famous like the Golden Temple of Amritsar.
“Taking inspiration from honourable PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah ji, our state government has promised to make Batadrava Thaan world-famous like the Golden Temple at Amritsar,” Sarma said.
He also announced that a project of Rs. 43 has been undertaken to beautify the birthplace of Mahapurush Madhabdev.
“We have taken the project of spending Rs. 43 crore to beautify the birthplace of Mahapurush Madhabdev,” he added.
The minister asserted that Assam can only progress by following the ideals of Sankardeva and Madhabdev.
