Guwahati: At the time of crisis when the entire human race is in danger and is battling with Coronavirus, the doctors are working day and night keeping their Hippocratic Oath to serve the patients in every way.
A doctor from Odisha’s Sambalpur identified as Ashok Das has set an example for every doctor around the world that nothing comes before work.
On March 17, Dr. Ashok Das mother Padmini Das (80) breathed her last. Despite the grave loss, Dr. Das, who has been appointed as the Nodal Officer in the district, carried out his duty of spreading awareness about COVID-19 on the very day of his mother’s demise.
Dr. Das attended meetings, went to a hospital and spread awareness about COVID-19 among people and performed final rites of his mother in the evening.
Talking to media Dr. Das said, “Serving people was more important”.
Dr. Das’s selfless act has been praised by the entire nation.
