GUWAHATI: The body of physician Dr. Bikramjit Baruah who has been missing since last Wednesday has been recovered from river Brahmaputra from Ahatguri, Majuli.
Saikia had been missing after the boat he was traveling—’Ma Kamala’—overturned on being hit by another boat on 8 September near the banks of Nimati Ghat, Jorhat.
Dr. Bikramjit Baruah was posted at the Garmur Civil Hospital, Majuli.
Earlier, body of another passenger of the boat accident, Indreswar Bora was recovered from Biswanath district. A college lecturer Parimita Das from Guwahati had also died in the accident.
