GUWAHATI: The newly appointed regular lower and upper primary teachers in three districts of Barak Valley in Assam have been asked to join their respective places of posting on September 11. The director of elementary education ordered all the teachers to attend their schools from September 11.
“The newly appointed regular teacher of LP and UP Schools under the DEE, Assam who are posted in Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi districts are hereby informed to join in their respective places of posting on 11/09/2020 as Govt. of Assam has instructed all the teachers of Barak Valley to attend their respective schools with effect from 11/09/2020,” stated in an order issued by the director of elementary education on Saturday.
However, all other terms and conditions of the appointment letters will remain the same, the notification added further.
The Assam government on Friday appointed 5,319 LP and UP teachers across the state. The ceremonial distribution of appointment letters took place at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati in the presence of chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
