6.4 magnitude earthquake jolts Afghanistan, tremors felt in Delhi-NCR and neighbouring states

In a significant seismic event, a magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck Afghanistan, with tremors reverberating into Dehli-NCR and other northern region of the country.

The quake occurred at 2:50 p.m. IST, with its epicenter located at 70.71°E, 36.52°N in the Hindu Kush Region of Afghanistan. The depth of the earthquake was reported to be 192 km, according to data from the GFZ (German Research Centre for Geosciences).

The National Capital Region, including Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Gurugram, also felt the earthquake tremors. 

The tremors were distinctly felt in various parts of Kashmir also.

While there are no immediate reports of casualties or major damage, authorities are actively monitoring the situation and urging citizens to remain vigilant.
