GUWAHATI: The National Commission for Women (NCW) felicitated women officers and personnel of Assam Police for their role in fighting COVID-19 and serving the people during the pandemic.
The women COVID-19 warriors were felicitated at the 29th Foundation Day of the National Commission for Women on January 31 in the presence of union minister Prakash Javadekar in New Delhi.

On the other hand, in his speech, minister Javadekar praised NCW for working towards women’s upliftment. He said the NDA government has taken several measures for the empowerment of women.
