NCTEF donates 2000 face masks to Kaziranga National Park officials

GUWAHATI: Amid COVID-19 pandemic in Assam, Nature Care and Tourism Education Foundation on Monday donated 2000 face masks for the forest official staff who are working in Kaziranga National Park in Assam. The masks have been distributed to ensure the safety of the forest department officials who are continuously working in Kaziranga.

The face masks were handed over to the Director of the Park, P Sivakumar.

While healthcare professionals and essential service providers are at the forefront of the battle against COVID-19 in Assam, the state’s forest department is working in full strength to ensure the safety and security of the wildlife.

On 7 May, Nature Care and Tourism Education Foundation and Smiling Tuskers Elephant Camps members distributed 1000 masks along with sanitizers to the forest officials of Manas National Park, Assam. The donation was made through the Director of Manas National Park Amal Ch Sarmah.

“We Nature Care And Tourism Education Foundation supported by Smiling Tuskers Elephant Camps tried to spread positive vibes and fight against Coronavirus as we distributed 1000 numbers of face masks and sanitizers for the pride forest officials of Manas National Park on 7th May 2020 and 2000 Face Masks as positive vibes to the forest officials of Kaziranga National Park today through their Directors, Amal Ch Sarmah (Manas National Park) and P Sivakumar (Kaziranga National Park),” said Julin Boruah president of Nature Care and Tourism Education Foundation in a telephonic interview.
