Guwahati: Nalbari Police on Saturday arrested five more persons in connection with the leakage of question paper for recruitment of Sub-Inspector Unarmed Branch (SI-UB) in the Assam Police. The five arrested appeared in the secret exam in Thank You lodge in Guwahati on a day before the actual written test.
The accused have been identified as Harkat Ali of Bhangnamari, Mukalmuwa,
Sanjib Barman, Mridul Barman , Parth Pratim Pathak and one more person.
The five accused have been arrested on the basis of previously arrested Kuldeep’s statement. It is a great success for the team of Nalbari Police led by officer Ashif Ahmed.
According to reports, an employee of the Agriculture department was also involved in the nexus. He is on the run.
A person from Hajo was also associated with Goswami(master-mind) and the accused is also on the run and Police are currently investigating the matter.
