Guwahati: Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur Rajesh Soundarajan today informed that the existing lockdown measures in Dimapur district will continue to remain in force with additional relaxations till September 16.
The official notification stated that the night curfew will be in force from 8 PM to 4 PM.
Shops and other business establishments dealing with essential goods and commodities such as vegetable, fish/meat vendors, milk booths, bakeries, local grocery stores, multiple utility services like LPG and E-commerce services will remain open from 6 AM to 6 PM on all days, the notification said.
All other shops and business establishments dealing with all kinds of goods, items and articles and all shops located in New Market, Hongkong Market and Hazi Park have been permitted to open from 6 AM to 6 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The notification said anyone violating the order will be penalised.
The Nagaland government on Thursday announced the extension of the ongoing lockdown measures and relaxations for various activities in the State till September 16.
Principal Secretary (Home) Abhijit Sinha, in an order, said the government decided to extend the lockdown measures and relaxations for the various activities as per the August 18 order for another two weeks from September 3 to September 16.
On August 16, the High Powered Committee on Covid-19 headed by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio announced a 15-day ‘Unlock 5’ in the State from August 19 till September 2.
Meanwhile, the State School Education Department expressed willingness to open schools for Classes 9 and 10 to facilitate offline teaching. However, it said the final decision will be taken by the High Powered Committee.
