Mridupawan Das, 2004-batch IFS officer from Assam, appointed India’s next High Commissioner to Rwanda

GUWAHATI, Aug 2: Mridupawan Das, a 2004-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer hailing from Assam, has been appointed as India’s next High Commissioner to Rwanda.

“Mridu Pawan Das (IFS:2004), presently Joint Secretary in the Ministry, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Rwanda,” a release issued by the Ministry of External Affairs stated.

His earlier stints include postings in Washington DC, Tehran & Dhaka, his bio in popular micro-blogging site ‘X’ read.

“He is expected to take up the assignment shortly,” the MEA release further stated.
