Hey folks, Mithun Chakraborty, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt and Sunny Deol have the best news to drive away your mid-week blues.
The quartet thrilled the Internet on Wednesday by announcing their new film. It will be the “baap of all films,” their words, not ours. How excited are you? Sharing the first-look poster from the yet-to-be-titled film, Sanjay Dutt wrote, “Baap Of All Films. Shoot dhamaal, dosti bemisaal [rocking shoot, unprecedented friendship].” Here, Mithun Chakraborty is seen wearing a dark shirt, jeans, a sleeveless brown jacket and a green beret cap. Sitting next to him, Sunny Deol appears to be a prisoner in orange and white attire. Sanjay Dutt, in the poster, is wearing a black T-shirt, jeans and a brown jacket. Jackie Shroff, on the other hand, carries his signature handkerchief. Reacting to the post, Abhishek Bachchan dropped a biceps emoji. Actor Varun Dhawan followed suit.

As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the untitled film will be an action-entertainer. Vivek Chauhan, who is known for his work as an assistant director in movies such as Highway and Tanu Weds Manu: Returns, will direct the film. It will be co-produced by Zee Studios, Ahmed Khan and his wife Shaira Ahmed Khan.
The action-entertainer will not be Mithun Chakraborty’s first film with Jackie Shroff, Sunny Deol and Sanjay Dutt. He has collaborated with the trio in different films over the years. With Jackie Shroff, he has worked in movies like Shapath, Ganga Ki Kasam, Yamraaj and Phool Aur Aag.
Sanjay Dutt and Mithun Chakraborty have shared the screen space in Luck, Ilaaka and Jeete Hain Shaan Se, among others. Heroes, which was released in 2008, also featured Sunny Deol and Mithun Chakraborty.
The other details about the quartet’s new film have not been announced yet.
