GUWAHATI: Assam Irrigation Minister Bhabesh Kalita contributed Rs. 2.5 lakh to Assam Arogya Nidhi to fight against COVID-19 pandemic. Health and Finance Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his gratitude to Kalita for his contribution towards the battle against deadly Coronavirus.
“My humble gratitude to Hon Minister Sri @BhabeshKalita11 for making a generous contribution of 2.5 lakh in Assam Arogya Nidhi. Each & every help we receive strengthens our resolve to fight against #COVID19,” Dr. Sarma wrote in Twitter.

According to the information, till Saturday 40211 people donated a total amount of Rs. 89,24,51,795.85 to Assam Arogya Nidhi. Donations have been pouring in for the fund as many people and organisations have come forward to support the government’s efforts against COVID-19.
