GUWAHATI, Oct 25: News Live has once again succeeded in reuniting another family after a man who had left his wife and two children — a son and a daughter — following petty family issues, was reunited with them after your channel shouldered the responsibility of reuniting the family.
Bhaskar Gogoi, a class IX student of Sasoni near Naharkatia town in Assam’s Dibrugarh district, had recorded a song he had penned in which he urged his father to return home.
Bhaskar’s father Dhonti Gogoi had left home three years ago and since then he kept little contact with his wife and two children.
News Live took up the issue and gave Bhaskar and his family a wider platform to appeal Dhonti to return home and also began inquiring on a personal level where his present whereabouts could possibly be.
A couple of days of non-stop telecast and a prime time talk show was all it needed to get the family reunited.

Dhonti, who now works as a truck driver in Arunachal Pradesh, saw our telecast and the fervent appeal his son had made through his self-composed song made him return to Sasoni, to be with his wife and children.
He returned to Sasoni last night and met his wife and children this morning.
“I thank News Live for reuniting me with my children and my wife,” he said.
