Although likened to the Meerut shocker, the woman threatened to chop her husband after being fed up of years of alcoholism
GUWAHATI, March 27: In an almost rerun of the Meerut shocker, a woman has reportedly threatened to chop her alcoholic husband and seal his dismembered body inside a drum if he did not mend his ways, media reports stated on Thursday.
The man, who has been identified as Bablu Kumar and lives in Kanker Khera locality of Meerut, told police that his wife threatened to kill him, cut his body to pieces and dump them into a drum in the manner in which Muskan Rastogi did with her husband Saurabh Rajput.
Reports said Kumar, who is an alcoholic, returned home drunk on Sunday night following which he had an altercation with his wife who reportedly hit him with a brick after he woke up late the next day.
Kumar further alleged that she threatened to kill him and said he would meet the same face as Saurabh Rajput if he did not mend his ways.
Terrified at his wife’s threatening, Kumar went to police to file a complaint against his her.
However, with his wife also reaching the police station, the duo was sent back home after they arrived at a compromise and no complaint was registered.
The incident comes days after the shocking Meerut case in which the woman named Muskan Rastogi killed her husband Saurabh Rajput, a former Merchant Navy officer, with the support of her paramour Sahil Shukla. They then dismembered Saurabh’s body before stuffing it into a drum and then poured cement into it to hide the crime.
The duo then went on a 12-day vacation to Himachal Pradesh during which they showed no remorse for the crime and were even seen celebrating Holi. The incident came to light after Muskan disclosed the shocking incident before her mother who informed the police.
Muskan and her lover Sahil, both drug addicts, were arrested by police and are presently in judicial custody as skeletons continue to tumble out of the cupboard and chilling detains emerge as to how they killed Saurabh Rajput and what they did during their 12-day vacation to Himachal where Muskan and Sahil posed as husband and wife.
Meerut Murder Case: What we know so far?
The Meerut murder case has shocked the entire nation. Muskan Rastogi killed her husband Saurabh Rajput, a former Merchant Navy officer, who had returned from London for her birthday, with the support of her lover Sahil.
Muskan and Sahil, both 27, were schoolmates till Class 8 but had no contact with each other after that before meeting at a party organized by a school WhatsApp group in 2019.
Their friendship flourished and turned into love, particularly in the absence of Saurabh who had gone to London for work. The affair between them grew so strong that Muskan began planning to remove Saurabh from their way as she and Sahil considered him an obstacle.
Saurabh had returned from London on February 24 for his wife’s birthday celebrations.
But little did he know that his wife, whom he loved so much and married against his family’s wishes in 2016, was planning his murder and would execute it in such grisly fashion.
Muskan and Sahil’s initial attempt to kill Saurabh on February 25, which involved sedating him through spiked food, failed as he only fell into deep sleep instead of losing consciousness.
On March 4, when Saurabh came to his rented accommodation from his parent’s house bringing a dish of ‘lauki ke kofte’ his mother had prepared for him, Muskan knew it was the moment she had been waiting for. She quickly reheated the food and once again mixed sedatives into the dish.
This time Saurabh went unconscious after consuming the sedatives-laced food.
Muskan, reports said, called Sahil who insisted that she kill her husband so that they can be together forever. He reportedly made her sit on the unconscious Saurabh’s chest before asking her to pierce his chest and heart with a sharp knife.
When Muskan hesitated, Sahil guided her hand to stab her husband’s heart thrice which she did with all ferocity, killing him almost instantly.
They then began dismembering Saurabh’s lifeless body and initially planned to dispose the severed body after chopping them into pieces parts in different locations which they later abandoned considering the risk it involved and the chances of them getting caught and arrested.
Sahil then brought a blue drum and bought a 50-kg bag of cement from the local market. They then stuffed Saurabh’s body — cut into four pieces — into the drum and covered it with the cement.
“Muskan had been plotting the murder since Nov. She manipulated Sahil through fake Snapchat messages, making him believe they were prodding and hints from his dead mother. Days before Saurabh’s return, she bought two knives, claiming they were to cut chicken, and feigned anxiety to obtain sedatives, which she later used to drug her husband before the attack,” The Times of India quoted said SP (city) Ayush Vikram Singh as saying.
Plan accomplished and the “obstacle” removed, Muskan and Sahil then went on a 12-day vacation to Himachal Pradesh and were seen celebrating Holi in a video as if nothing had happened: not a semblance of remorse or guilt on their faces.
During their Himachal trip which they went in a private car which Sahil and Muskan booked for 15 days for Rs 54,000, they checked into a hotel and registered themselves as husband and wife.
The hotel manager, reports said, was surprised by the fact that they remained confined into their hotel room after checking-in contrary to what other visitors did, and left the hotel only once for a brief outing in their car.
Muskan and Sahil also had minimal interaction with the hotel staff and also did not allow the housekeeping staff at the hotel to clean their rooms during their stay.
Meanwhile, investigations have revealed that both Sahil and Muskan were over the years taking drugs and Sahil’s room was filled with tantric, occult images and satanic graffitis.
The duo, reports also said, are now struggling with severe drug withdrawal inside Meerut District Jail where they are presently lodged after they were remanded to judicial custody.
While Muskan is said to be demanding morphine injections, Sahil is stated to be becoming extremely restlessness without marijuana, reports further stated.
