GUWAHATI: Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed that many Congress leaders would join the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) before 2021 assembly elections.
Talking to media persons, Sarma said that Lakhipur MLA Rajdeep Goala who had recently been expelled from Congress would join the BJP. According to the minister, many tribal leaders will also join the saffron party.
“I think Rajdeep Goala will join the BJP. Not only Rajdeep Goala, many Congress leaders who love the country and many other tribal leaders will join the BJP before elections. We want all to remain in the BJP who love India and Assam,” Sarma said.
