Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a newlywed man died in the Chandrapur area within 24 hours of marriage.
The marriage of Khagen Baishya (Moon), a 30-year-old man working as a computer operator at Pragjyotishpur police station solemnized on February 27.
The marriage was celebrated with great pomp and zeal. The newlywed couple entered the house on February 28 after finishing the rituals of Aathmangala.
Baishya popularly known as Moon had dinner with his kith and keens and was very happy throughout the marriage.
The young man fainted at around 11 pm while he was lying on the bed. He was immediately shifted to the hospital but was declared dead by the doctors.
On the other hand, Bishaya’s bride was also shifted to the hospital as she couldn’t bear the news of the sudden demise of her husband.
The family, relatives, and the entire area are in deep shock over such an unfortunate incident.
According to the doctor, the young man had a sudden stroke which resulted in his death.
