GUWAHATI: After the successful release of “Suspended Inspector Bodo”, Kenny Basumatary and his team are coming up with a new Assamese Comedy film “Local Utpaat”.
The upcoming movie Local Utpaat has been made under the banner of Heavy Budget. Shooting of the movie has already been completed and it will be released in September.
Meanwhile, Kenny has started a crowdfunding campaign to overcome the expenses for post-production and release of his upcoming film ‘Local Utpaat’.
“We have started a crowdfunding. Seven days have been left for the campaign. Our target was 10 lakh. We need around 5.5 lkah to reach our target. Therefore, we request the people of Assam to support us,” said actor-director Kenny Basumatary.
The campaign is being run through Wishberry.
Kenny had to sell off his apartment in Mumbai as he could not recover the money he invested in his previous films, Local Kung fu, Suspected Inspector Boro and Local Kung fu 2.
