GUWAHATI: Assam recorded 15 more COVID-19 positive cases from Kamrup (Metropolitan district) on Wednesday. All of them are related to another COVID-19 patient from Fancy Bazaar area of Guwahati who was detected with the disease on Monday.
The names of the new COVID-19 patients are— Sunil Roy, Prabhat Anand, Lakharo Nisab, Sanjeet Kumar, Sipu Jan Nishad, Sumit Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Sankar Saha, Subodh Kumar, Mukesh Singh, Goni Keward, Bindeswar Thakur, Prabin Kumar Rao, Krishna Kumar Gupta and Biswanath Sha.
All of them were under quarantine after Mangu Sahani, a worker at a potato godown tested COVID-19 positive on Monday. They came into direct contact with Mangu Sahani. They are being rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, following the 15 new COVID-19 cases, Assam health health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma arrived in Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) in Guwahati on Wednesday evening to review the preparedness for the treatment of the patients.
