GUWAHATI: Liquor shops in Assam that were allowed to open from 13th April will be shut down again immediately. According to sources the Assam Government will reportedly issue a notification ordering the closure of liquor shops in Assam. This decision has come after a strict order from Ministry of Home Affairs in New Delhi that has ordered the closure of all liquor shops, bottling plants and distilleries till further notice. As a result of this central government order, Assam government has started the process of informing the concerned parties and a formal notification will be issued in some time.
