GUWAHATI: A 6-year-old boy was mauled to death by a leopard in the Maligaon area of Guwahati on Thursday. The child was attacked by the leopard at Adingiri on Thursday evening.
The incident took place when the kid was playing outside his house with his friends.
The leopard dragged him by hitting on his neck. The leopard released the boy after local had made hue and cry. Though the child was taken to Sanjeevani Hospital, he was declared dead by the doctors.
“This is an unfortunate incident. There are around 6-7 leopards in this area. We request the forest department to take appropiate action,” said a local man.
