GUWAHATI: Acting on a specific input, Assam Police recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in the Tuslibil area under Gossaigaon Police Station in Kokrajhar district on Monday morning.
The recoveries include 2 AK Rifles, 3 Magazines, 2 HE 36 Grenades, 2 Detonators and 211 Rounds Ammunition.
The operation was led by Mukut Rabha, ASP, Kokrajhar HQ with staff, TSI Latuk Das with staff and SI Parthapratim Biswas, IC Tulshibil outpost with 20 IRBn staff.
According to reports, further search operation is going on in the area.
It may be noted that arms and ammunition have been recovered in multiple operations in Bodoland Territorial Area District (BTAD) in the last few days. Besides Kokrajhar, illegal arms were seized in other districts of BTAD in recent times.
