GUWAHATI: Seven more people who had come to Guwahati from Mumbai by six sleeper buses tested COVID-19 positive on Thursday. The new COVID-19 patients include cancer, heart patients and their attendants.
The names of the cancer patients who tested COVID-19 positive are Manoranjan Saha, Pradip Kumar Bania and Gopindra Chandra Malakar. A 13-year old heart patient has tested COVID-19 positive. However, the minor’s name has not been made public. On the other hand the names of the attendants who were detected with COVID-19 are Basudev Patowari, Nilakanta Deb and Mina Rani Bania.
The names of the new COVID-19 patients have been shared by Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in his Tweet.
The patients and their attendants stranded in Mumbai were brought to Guwahati by six sleeper buses on Tuesday night. They were sent to quarantine after the necessary screening at Sarusajai.
