John Abraham celebrates his 49th birthday; List of his top Films

Guwahati: Bollywood hunk John Abraham is celebrating his 49th birthday today. John Abraham is known for his fitness. The model-turned-actor has maintained his powerful muscular physique over the decades. 

John studied at Bombay Scottish School, Mahim in Mumbai. He got his bachelor’s degree in honors economics from Jai Hind College and got his MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, and then got a job in the field of marketing. But destiny has got different plans for him and landed him in the world of glamour and entertainment. 

With a physique to die for and a super charming smile, John is a heartthrob and an inspiration for all fitness enthusiasts.

John Abraham has been in the industry for the past 17 years. The actor started his Bollywood journey with Jism which was an erotic-thriller. He later starred in a few romantic and erotic films, but more than those films, John is known for his action movies.

Today, John celebrates his 48th birthday, so let’s look at the list of the actor’s top  films

1. Dhoom 

We have to start the list with Dhoom, John’s first action-thriller. The action in the film was not the usual one that we get to see in Bollywood films. It was more in a classy zone, and John portrayed the negative role quite well.

2. Garam Masala

In 2005, John was cast in Priyadarshan’s Garam Masala, alongside Akshay Kumar. Garam Masala is John Abraham’s first comedy film. The movie traces the story of Mac, played by Akshay, and Sam, played by John, who are two flirts who keep dating various women. The movie was a hit and was loved by the audience.

3. Force

With the 2011 release Force, John entered the mass territory. It was a mass-action film and had some really good action sequences. We can’t forget the scene where John actually picked up a bike. 

4. Rocky Handsome

2016 release Rocky Handsome failed to make a mark at the box office. But, it is undoubtedly one of the best action films of John Abraham. The action in the film was of an international level and it was something new for Indian audiences.

5. Desi Boyz

It’s the crackling chemistry between John Abraham and Akshay Kumar which makes Desi Boyz such a fun film. The guy bonding between them had already been showcased in Garam Masala but this film carries the camaraderie even further.

6. Dishoom

While most of the action films attract the masses, Dishoom was a movie that attracted the masses as well as the classes. John’s muscles surely stole the show in the film

7. Satyameva Jayate

Last on the list we have Satyameva Jayate. The John Abraham starrer was a perfect masala entertainer with some dialogue-baazi and amazing action sequences. Now, a sequel to the film is in the making and we surely have high expectations from it.

Apart from films, John’s love for football isn’t a secret. It is widespread news that John is a football freak, and it is this love for the game that prompted him to buy an ISL team named NorthEast United FC.

On the personal front, John is married to  Priya Runchal in 2014. Priya is an investment banker and the duo met through common friends.

On the work front, John will next be seen in Attack. The actor shared the film’s first teaser. Also starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Rajkul Preet Singh, Attack has John playing a super soldier, out to save the country from anti-national forces.Written and helmed by Lakshya Raj Anand, Attack has been bankrolled by JA Entertainment, Ajay Kapoor and Jayantilal Gada. The film will release on January 28 in theatres.
