GUWAHATI: Jawa launched their latest model Jawa 42 version 2.1 in Guwahati on Friday at the Easy Communication- Jawa Guwahati showroom in Lalmati, Guwahati.
Equipped with a 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine the motorcycle produces 27bhp and 27Nm of peak torque. The bike has a six-speed gearbox.

The Jawa 42 Version 2.1 has been launched in three color options – All Star Black, Sirus White, and Orion Red. The motorcycle features a round headlight, bar-end mirrors, a flat seat, and a twin-sided exhaust setup. The Version 2.1 gets a dark theme and parts like the engine, exhaust canisters, front fork covers, and the rear springs feature a black finish.
The biggest change has to be the addition of the new X-shaped headlamp grille, as well as a new flyscreen.
The updated motorcycle also gets bar-end mirrors that can be tilted upwards or downwards. The old-school analog instrument cluster has been retained with the bike. Jawa also claims that it has strengthened the chassis in strategic points and also adjusted the preload in the front suspension.
“We Jawa Guwahati-Easy Communication launched the latest model Jawa 42-2.1 model in Guwahati. People are excited and many youths joined the launching ceremony in our showroom. This bike has features like tubeless tires and alloy wheels. So the young-generation will like the bike. The price will be around 2.15 lakh rupees,” said the owner of Jawa, Easy Communications showroom.
It is to be mentioned that the older version will continue to be sold alongside the new and updated model.
