GUWAHATI: The In Patient Department (IPD) of the seventh medical college in Assam, Diphu Medical College and Research Institute will start from December 8. This was stated by Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday.
“To ensure its timely completion, I have constantly monitored the construction of Diphu Medical College. This is my 3rd visit since July 2019. I am glad that the IPD section will start from Dec 08, 2019. We are committed to ensuring our healthcare facilities are the best and evenly distributed,” said Dr Sarma.
Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma was on a visit to Diphu Medical College on Monday and took stock of the development and ongoing construction work.
Recently the Assam government appointed 58 faculty members and 44 junior and senior residents for the medical college. Admissions for the Diphu Medical College will start in 2020.
