GUWAHATI: After three persons including a Pro-talk ULFA leader were arrested for plot to allegedly murder Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma , the minister on Tuesday said that he is afraid of no one, but only fears god, parents and public.
“I don’t fear anyone. I am afraid of only god, my parents and public,” Sarma said in Silchar.
“Personally I don’t know about it. DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta asked me to remain alert. He told me that they were taking some precautions,” he added.
The Vice President of United Liberation Front of Assam (ceasefire group) Pradip Gogoi along with two others were arrested by the crime branch of Assam Police for allegedly hatching conspiracy to assassinate Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
