GUWAHATI: A hotel boy has been found COVID-19 positive in Lakhimpur town of Assam. The boy identified as Bikash Ali was working at A&A2 Hotel of Lakhimpur.
Several returnees were lodged at the hotel. Bikash provided food and other items to them. He also visited many shops in the area.
“He used to visit my shop till Sunday morning. I have to test my swab,” said a shopkeeper.
Other shopkeepers also informed News Live that the hotel boy was roaming around the area till Sunday.
He tested positive on Sunday night.
The boy has been shifted to the hospital for COVID-19 treatment. Meanwhile, Lakhimpur district health department has requested everyone who had come into Bikash’s contact to inform the authorities immediately.
