GUWAHATI: A home guard died during his duty in Dhemaji on Sunday. Home guard Dipak Saikia was a resident of Machkhowa in Dhemaji district.
Meanwhile on Monday, Dhemaji Police paid tributes to the late home guard.
Officers and personnel of Dhemaji Police paid their tributes to Saikia.
Taking to Facebook, Dhemaji Police writes, “Dipak Saikia age 39 S/O Lt. Hira nath Saikia of vill, Salmari,Machkhowa , PO Khalihamari pamuwa, PS/Dist. Dhemaji passed away suddenly while he was on duty yesterday. Dhemaji Police prays for his eternal peace and offers condolences to the bereaved family.”
