GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Tezpur and Udalguri to review the COVID-19 preparedness. At Tezpur Dr. Sarma held a meeting with Sonitpur district administration, medical superintendents and doctors at Tezpur Medical College and Hospital (TMCH) to discuss the arrangements to tackle COVID-19 pandemic. Minister of State for health and family welfare Pijush Hazarika, Lok Sabha MP Pallab Lochan Das, MLAs Padma Hazarika, Ashok Singhal and Ganesh Kumar Limbu were also present at the meeting.

Earlier health minister Sarma visited Udalguri and held a meeting with the district administration. Ministers Pijush Hazarika and Rihon Daimary, Lok Sabha MP Dilip Saikia, Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary and some MLAs from the district attended the meeting.
