GUWAHATI: Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma spoke to over 100 Assam students stranded in Kota, Rajasthan amid COVID-19 lockdown. Minister Sarma spoke to them through video conference and assured the students that the Assam Government is standing by them.
“Their needs will be taken care of. Their cooperation in compliance of Lockdown2 is appreciated,” Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma stated in a Tweet.
Along with Sarma, minister of state for health and family welfare Pijush Hazarika, Assam additional director general of police for law and order (ADGP) GP Singh, principal secretary to health and family welfare department Samir Sinha also took part in the video conference wwith the stranded students.
