Guwahati: Assam Police on Saturday arrested one Harkat Ali in the question paper leak case in Assam Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment exam. Ali is directly involved in the secret exam that took place in the ‘Thank you’ lodge in Guwahati a day before the actual exam.
According to reports, Harkat Ali was present in the secret exam at the now infamous lodge. The candidates who paid money for jobs were provided questions for the SI exam in the advanced exam. Questions were shown in a projector. Questions of total of 100 marks were provided to them. Around 50 candidates were present in the secret exam.
Nalbari Police has acquired various information regarding the question paper leakage case. A team of Nalbari Police led by SP Ashik Ahmed is investigating the matter.
It is to be mentioned that Nalbari Police on Saturday arrested five more persons in connection with the leakage of question paper for recruitment of Sub-Inspector Unarmed Branch (SI-UB) in the Assam Police. The five arrested appeared in the secret exam in Thank You lodge in Guwahati on a day before the actual written test.
