The employees of 108 and 102 emergency ambulance services in Assam, who declared a withdrawal of their strike and resumption of duties, were once again not allowed to do so by the GVK-EMRI management.

The employees of 108 and 102 emergency ambulance services once again tried to resume their duties from Saturday but were prevented by the GVK-EMRI management amid reports of recruitment of new 102-108 emergency ambulance services employees by the GVK-EMRI.

Earlier, after meeting Assam health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the employees of 108 and 102 emergency ambulance services have declared withdrawal of their strike against pending increment and other demands. Prior to that, the employees of 108-102 emergency ambulance services tried to resume their duties on Wednesday, but were denied by the GVK-EMRI management, citing incompletion of “medico legal procedures”.
